Your Life Was Never Meant to Be Someone Else’s Dream

Someone Else’s Dream?

Let’s be real for a minute.

How much of the life you’re living is actually yours?

Not the life your parents thought you should want.

Not the life your friends think looks successful.

Not the life social media tells you you’re supposed to have.

Not the life you built because somewhere along the way you decided, “This is what a successful person is supposed to look like.”

Your life.

The one that makes you feel alive.

The one that makes you get out of bed with something to look forward to.

The one that gives you a sense of purpose.

Because here’s the uncomfortable truth:

You can build a life that looks great from the outside and still wake up knowing something is missing.

And far too many people spend years trying to fix the wrong problem.

They think they need more money.

A better job.

A different relationship.

A bigger house.

More recognition.

More followers.

Another degree.

Another book.

Another course.

Another motivational video.

But sometimes the real problem isn’t that you don’t have enough.

It’s that you never stopped long enough to decide what you actually want.

What Do YOU Want?

That’s a surprisingly difficult question for many people. I have personally asked well over 5000 people and most people can’t answer me.

Ask someone what they want and they’ll often give you an answer they’ve inherited.

“I want to be successful.” Or is that someone else’s dream who thinks successful is important?

“I want financial freedom.”

“I want to retire.”

“I want to travel.”

“I want a bigger house.”

Fine.

But why?

Your Life Was Never Meant to Be Someone Else’s Dream

What does your ideal life actually feel like?

Who are you being?

Who are you helping?

What are you creating?

What matters to you when nobody is watching?

Those are very different questions.

And they require something most people rarely give themselves:

Time to think.

Not scrolling.

Not reacting.

Not checking email.

Not worrying about what everyone else is doing.

Thinking.

Really thinking.

Because until you have a clear vision of the life you want, you’re likely to keep living according to the visions other people have handed you.

And what happens after you get it? Let’s visualize for a few minutes. Stop and think, really use that noggin’ – what if you had all the time and all the money you needed. Just think for a minute…. What would you do?

You Don’t Need More Motivation

Here’s another truth I’ve learned:

Most people don’t have a motivation problem.

They have a clarity problem.

When you don’t know where you’re going, almost any road looks reasonable.

You wake up.

Go to work.

Take care of everybody else.

Pay the bills.

Watch some television.

Scroll through social media.

Go to sleep.

Repeat.

And then one day you look up and wonder:

“How did I get here?”

The problem isn’t that you’re lazy.

The problem isn’t that you’re incapable.

And it certainly isn’t that you don’t have potential.

You may simply have never created a compelling enough picture of where you’re going.

A vision gives your mind something to move toward.

It gives your daily decisions context.

It helps you distinguish between what actually matters and what is simply noise.

And perhaps most importantly…

It gives you a reason to change.

Imagine Six Months From Now

Here’s something I want you to think about.

Six months from now, you’re going to be somewhere.

The calendar doesn’t care whether you change.

Six months will pass whether you have a vision or not.

You can arrive there with the same habits.

The same frustrations.

The same excuses.

The same unanswered questions.

Or you can arrive having spent those six months deliberately creating something different.

That’s the choice.

And it starts much simpler than most people think.

It starts with answering one question:

“What do I really want my life to look like?”

Not what should you want.

Not what would impress somebody else.

Not what looks good on Instagram.

What do YOU want?

Give Yourself Four Hours That Could Change Your Life

This is why we created the Vision Workshop.

Not to give you another motivational speech.

Not to tell you what your life should look like.

And certainly not to sell you somebody else’s dream.

The Vision Workshop gives you the opportunity to step away from the noise and begin creating a clear picture of your future.

Because once you know where you’re going, you can begin figuring out how to get there.

And that’s where everything begins to change.

You begin making different choices.

You begin noticing opportunities you didn’t see before.

You begin questioning old patterns.

You begin recognizing what belongs in your life—and what doesn’t.

You begin becoming more intentional.

And that is a very different way to live.

Here’s Your Challenge

Give yourself four hours.

Four hours to stop. Four hours to think. Four hours to ask yourself questions you’ve probably been avoiding.

Four hours to imagine what your life could look like if you stopped allowing other people to define success for you.

Because here’s the deal:

Four hours is going to pass anyway.

You can spend it scrolling.

Or you can use it to begin designing the life you actually want.

You don’t need to have all the answers before you begin.

You simply need to be willing to ask better questions.

What do I really want?

Who do I want to become?

What kind of life would make me proud?

What would I do if I stopped letting fear, expectations, and other people’s opinions make my decisions for me?

Your answers may surprise you.

They may even scare you a little.

Good.

That might be the first sign that you’re finally thinking about your life instead of the life someone else designed for you.

Your Vision Is Waiting

You have spent enough time living by default.

It’s time to start living by design.

Your life is yours.

Don’t waste another year trying to become someone else’s idea of successful.

Discover what you truly want.

Create a vision for it.

And then take the first step.

Join the Free Vision Workshop and give yourself one hour to discover the direction your life has been waiting for.

Your future isn’t asking you to have everything figured out.

It’s asking you to finally decide where you’re going.

Your Vision. Your Life. Your Choice.

Much love,
