HOW to HUG: Take the Next Step

My dad loves to tell the story of the shy young man who wanted to become more confident around girls. While browsing through the thrift store, he spied a book entitled “HOW to HUG.” Looking around to make sure no one saw him, he quickly purchased it and hurried home. In his room with the door closed he eagerly opened it up… only to discover he had Volume 10 of the encyclopedia.

Too often we look for quick answers, simple solutions, and easy fixes. We see someone else and what they have accomplished or obtained, yet we don’t have any idea of what they went through to achieve it. A journey of a thousand steps takes, well, a thousand steps, taken one at a time.

In this day of AI, computer bots, and virtual assistants, it’s easy to find someone else to do what we would rather not have to deal with. Don’t want to read a book? Buy a summary or listen to an audiobook. Don’t want to go out? Have dinner or groceries delivered. You can hire someone to do your laundry, walk your dog, care for your children.

Take the Next Step, then Another

But there are some things that just can’t be passed off to an assistant or done by a hired hand. That journey of a thousand steps is simple. Just take a step, and then another, and another. One step is not complicated, overwhelming, or difficult. You just have to do it.

Recently I watched a video of Ronald Reagan quoting Abraham Lincoln. He said, “You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves.”

The Master Key Experience guides you through what you can and should do for yourself to achieve your definite major purpose. No one can take the steps of that journey for you. It’s not complicated, overwhelming, or difficult. It’s also not a quick answer, simple solution, or easy fix. Every step of the journey changes you just a little bit as it takes you closer to your goal.

The best part is you are never alone on the journey. Abraham Lincoln didn’t say you cannot help men, just that you can’t help by doing it for them. You must accept the position of hero in your own journey. When you begin your journey with the Master Key Experience, you are assigned a trained, certified personal guide to support, encourage, and walk with you.

What is Your Next Step?

You don’t have to know every step before you begin. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just need to take the first step.

Then take another.

And another.

The Master Key Experience won’t walk the journey for you, and it shouldn’t. It will help you discover the direction you want to go, give you the tools to move forward, and provide a trained guide to encourage and support you along the way.

Your journey is yours to take. No one else can take those steps for you.

But you don’t have to take them alone.

The journey begins in just a few weeks with the free Vision Workshop. If you know you’re capable of more but aren’t sure where to start or even which direction to go, join us. Take the first step toward gaining clarity, challenging the paradigms that may be holding you back, and discovering what might be possible when you begin doing what you can and should do for yourself.

When you’re ready, take that first step: go to https://www.markjtrains.com and sign up for the Vision Workshop. Then simply follow the steps on the concierge page.

Don’t worry about the thousand steps.

Just take the next one.
