Am I Refusing the Call? Is It Time to Do the Work?

Well, I can feel the Summer slipping away. The sun is setting sooner and rising later. This usually is the time of year that we are busy beyond belief, but this year it’s not so much. I believe that things will turn around but these challenges are tough when its been for so long.

The stress is multiplied by the fact that my daughter’s last year before High School begins in 3 weeks. She has volleyball tryouts next week which is the only sport she seemed to enjoy last year. I want her to have a wonderful experience this year, but I know she is going to be challenged herself.

As her father that creates some worry for me. She’s a wonderful young lady but I remember how other students can hurt your self-esteem and confidence.

A Reminder to Do the Work

That being said, it is a full faced reminder that we build the world within to achieve our hearts desire on the world without. What we think about is what manifests for good or for bad. The old ruts can open quite easily sometimes and it is difficult to get back out.

Signing up to be a guide for The Master Key Experience (MKE) this year is having its own ups and downs for me. I am excited to help others achieve their goals and dreams but at the same time I feel as I am failing in doing the work myself. I am fighting to not refuse the call.

Do the Work – What do I Want?

I am still trying to really find my own DHARMA and fine tune my DMP. Being a WHITE color code makes it harder to get the perfect one written out. I really am finding it difficult to decide exactly what I want to do with the rest of my life.

I was surprised to find out that some of the master guides are still in a similar boat. Which technically makes me feel a little better but the fact of the matter is that I KNOW what this program has done for me in the past and how powerful it can be, yet I somehow am being resistant for no good reason.

It is like having a key to unlock a door and walk right through freely; and instead choosing to pry it ajar and squeeze through the crack. It’s utterly ridiculous.

I spoke with a good friend of mine who lost his mother-in-law about a week ago and we were talking about MKE and all the tools it has as he is going to sign up this year.

Am I Refusing the Call?

During the conversation something came up that made me really wonder if I am sabotaging myself and the success that I have built over the last several years or is an outside force trying to prevent me from finding my calling?

Are we given experiences and material things to keep us placated and drift by comfortably? When we dig for the deeper purpose do we lose those things to keep us from doing so?

Now I really believe it is a bit of all that, but I know that God has given us all the ability to create the life we truly want, we just need to ask for it. We can pray, we can sit, we can create but when things don’t happen the way we expect or hope they do then it can be easy to stop doing what has worked in the past.

Not only by allowing negative thoughts to creep into my mind but then focusing on them instead of using the law of dual thought and substitution. Something I had mastered previously but somehow lost the knack for it. Again, ridiculous. I have so much knowledge and understanding yet realize that it does not apply itself.

Time to Do the Work!

I understand that we all go through peaks and valleys as that is the journey of life. We can’t experience positivity without some negativity but the one we feed the most is the one that will take over. I KNOW THIS! So here I am again wondering why I am struggling to do the work consistently and create the harmony that was so prevalent in my life just a couple years ago.

The choice is a simple one and, even if the execution is not as simple, it’s like physical exercise. Even if I do not feel like doing something I must still do it for my physical health. I must continue to pray and sit and create the life that I truly want.

As I write the last sentence it dawns on me that even though I am still searching for the life that I am not clear on, I won’t ever find it without doing the mental and spiritual exercises.

I just realized that some people know exactly what they want and focus on that but those of us that do not really know have to keep on the path until we do find it.

Time to get back to work on that path. I just facepalmed myself.

Until next time…….
