How to Master Joy Over Pain

minutes remaining

How to master joy over pain? This week my mind led me to focus on mastering the things in life I need to advance myself as a new and improved self-directed person.

It is a step forward into creating a new reality within my subconscious mind and really applying what I am learning: taking bigger strides into becoming that special person, my new best friend, the true me!

Find a place inside where there’s joy and the joy will burn out the pain.

Joseph Campbell

How to Master Joy Over Pain

You can always find pain in the world, yet if we replace that pain with an innate joy that is within each and every one of us, then that joy definitely burns out that pain because as the scriptures say “against such things, there is no law.”

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, JOY, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things, there is no law.

Galatians 5:22-23 NIV1984

That truly gave me hope that mastery of transforming pain by tapping into joy inside of me is something I love and know I can master. I am already putting this into practice. I am now more aware and intentional about this than ever before.

Mastery of Body Functions

Mastering body functions was taught in the Master Key Experience (MKE) from week 1 where Haanel in the Master Key System states: “Many will find this extremely difficult; others will conquer with ease, but it is absolutely essential to secure complete control of the body before you are ready to progress.”

This was easier for me to do, focusing and directing my body to stay still. Focusing on the task at hand came easily for me. Allowing my mind to direct my body is a skill I easily developed.

Sitting and staying perfectly still was a gift that I am grateful to God to have and develop into a great talent and habit. Directing my mind away from the itch on my nose or the sneeze that is coming and relaxing my whole body and focusing on that relaxed state was a beautiful win each and every time it threatens to be challenged.

As this quote from MKE states: “If you don’t have the time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?” I really believe this. That is why mastery of my body functions was very important for me from day one.

Mastery of Thoughts

How to Master Joy Over Pain

Mastery of my thoughts and my mind is extremely important in MKE and this is so much easier because of the mastery of my bodily functions. First, I learned the difference between simply thinking, and directing my thoughts consciously, systematically, and constructively.

I learned to place my mind in harmony with the Universal Mind, I come in tune with the Infinite. In this way, I set in operation the mightiest force in existence, the creative power of the Universal Mind.

This is what is called The Law of Attraction, which is that Mind is creative, and will automatically correlate with its object and bring it into manifestation.

Once I realize and learned this truth, I made it my mission to fully implement and learn the mastery of all of my thoughts, in my waking hours and even in my dreamland.

Mastery of Mastermind Alliance

The best part of the whole MKE experience is not just learning the mastery of the pain, and feelings in my life, mastery of body functions, and the mastery of my thoughts, which is my mind in action, but also the mastery of sharing and masterminding with like-minded individuals who are going through this process too.

Mastery of this very important part of life is so much fun. It makes me so full of awe and gratefulness toward everything and everyone. It is such a gift to be able to discuss the beautiful process with others.

There is no law against how long and how many people I get to practice this mastery with. It’s so much fun to continually do this from day one and all the way to now and continually do so day after day.

One of my Mastermind Alliances are the coaches and guides in the ‘Who are the Best Life Coaches?’. Check out the contents by one of those coaches Nancy Ottinger. I hope it opens your mind like it did my own.

Here is an example of another one of my posts on the subject of mind in action. It truly helps to read through these posts to get an understanding of what is happening in our lives. Another beautiful example of a self-directed thinker is my friend Loren Taylor. Check out his post right here.

As I continue to hone my skills of mastery of every aspect of my life, it gets closer and closer to the perfection God has created me to be. I am forever grateful to these teachings of mastery of everything.

  • That’s a great overview of all the parts of us (body, mind and soul) which are directly and positively impacted by the MKE…The degree to which each of us is impacted entirely depends on our determination to become the perfect person we really are, and you are leading the charge in this endeavor, Elena! Thank you for this inspiring sharing!

  • Elena, I enjoyed your blog and the insight you have on the following masteries: (1) the mastery of pain, (2) the mastery of thought, (3) the mastery of body functions, and(4) the mastery of masterminding with people. Your enthusiasm on masterminding -seeing the importance of it and the fun you experience when doing it is invigorating. I enjoyed your quote from Joseph Campbell-“Find a place inside where there’s joy and the joy will burn out the pain.” It is inspiring to realize that we can master our pain by transforming it into joy that is found within.
Thanks for your insights and great thoughts.

  • Thank you for clearly defining the peace of mastery. My hope is that others will take the time to do it correctly now; because, as you said, if you cannot do it now, when will you have time to do it over later.
