I meet a lot of people of all ages at my work as a massage therapist, healer, and medium. Do you want to know how to transform your life? What I have noticed the last 10-15 years is that many of them have difficulties imagining what kind of life they want. But most of them have one thing in common: They are not satisfied with the life they have now and don’t know how to make the transformation.
Another thing that I have noticed is that people tend to turn outwards to find the answers, like going to me with hope that I can see what their desires are or what purpose in life they have.
I think it is very hopeful that people feel that they have a purpose in life, yet they can’t find or feel it. What I do NOT do is tell them their desires, purpose, or something in the future. It is so important that people figure that out by themselves. But I do help them on their way by giving them new perspectives. I am going to give you ,too, a couple of those perspectives.
Most people always receive input passively
We pick up our cell phone as soon we have a minute to spare, while waiting for the subway/bus or sitting while being transported wherever we are going.
We scroll and we scroll endlessly until we go on or go off. When we come home, we are scrolling, too, and a lot of time goes by for things we are not deliberately looking for. If not the cell phone, we watch TV, zapping thru programs until we find something interesting. We just feed ourselves with whatever comes up.
This behavior customizes us to passively be open in our minds for whatever the mind is fed with. We don’t really have our heart engaged in this traffic of information. Of course, we can react to the random things we are fed, whether they be cruelty or wonderful and lovely things.
But that is more or less just what it is — reactions to whatever we are passively fed.
So, the first thing I would like to point out is to rest from your cellular phone now and then to think about what TV programs actually give you something worth watching and spend time with you, yourself.
Go on an adventurous trip in your mind
To discover what is going on with your thoughts and feelings.
What is your mind dwelling on and what emotions do you have? Condition yourself to create active input to discover wonderful realms within yourself.
Another observation I have made — our brain is lazy. It just wants to continue in old pathways. It even fights to do that. When you change your way of thinking or doing, does your brain react and try to get you back on the track again — because it is easier?
You fill up with emotions that aren’t pleasant, like feeling uncomfortable, unsecure, worry-prone, or maybe even anxious. You are suddenly outside your box and it isn’t pleasant. ”Get back with you!”, says the brain and spouts out hormones so as to evoke the most uncomfortable feelings for you.
Most people fight against this thinking that fighting back is going to make it disappear. But it is the opposite. When fighting back, are you just feeding that unwanted condition within you. All the energy you mobilize does not go to you, it goes to feed that unwanted feeling or condition so it grows stronger. And that is exactly what the brain wants. It wants you to have a stronger unpleasant feeling so you get back on the track.
How to transform your life
First of all, get an understanding of the process; and, second, understand that it is only feelings which can’t hurt you — not even if they evoke strong physical reactions or strong thoughts that struggle to rationalize a decision to get back on the track.
Let the emotions be and think of them as a receipt that you really are to make that wonderful change you want. They are going away when not fed. Besides to have an understanding of this is it important to understand that the stronger unpleasant feelings you have the stronger and closer are you probably your desired change in life, or of yourself or your heart’s burning desire. Your brain put forth some extra effort to bring you closer to your target.
- Spend more time with yourself and listen to your inner voice.
- Understand that your brain is trying to get you back on the old track when you are changing things in your life or yourself.
- Be in the emotions and let them be that receipt instead, telling you that you are truly on your way to make your wonderful desired change.
- Keep your focus on your desired change, do not allow your brain to distract you so you fall back to the old track. Make a new track for the brain instead.
