Learning to Guide while Growing

Learning to Guide While Continuing to Grow

As we prepare for another Master Key Experience (MKE), I’ve been reflecting on what this journey has meant to me over the past year.

Last September, I began MKE as a student looking for growth. I wanted to change, but I had no idea how much I would learn about myself along the way.

The lessons weren’t always easy. There were moments when I felt like I was making great progress, and there were moments when I realized just how much old conditioning was still influencing my thoughts and actions. Through it all, I kept showing up. One day at a time. One exercise at a time.

Learning a New Role

Now, as I prepare to serve as a guide for the first time, I find myself feeling both excited and humbled.

Learning a new role – Making it fun!

The truth is, I don’t have all the answers.

I’m still learning.
I’m still growing.
I’m still practicing the principles every single day.

But maybe that’s exactly what makes this opportunity so meaningful.

I won’t be guiding from a place of perfection. I’ll be guiding from a place of experience—a fellow traveler who knows what it’s like to struggle, to celebrate small victories, and to keep moving forward even when growth feels slow.

Learning to be Aware

One thing MKE has taught me is that awareness changes everything. The more aware I become of my thoughts, my habits, and my choices, the more intentional I can be about creating the life I truly desire.

As a new guide, my hope is simply to encourage others the way I have been encouraged. To listen well. To ask good questions. To celebrate victories. To remind someone to trust the process on the days when they can’t yet see the results.

I know I’ll learn just as much from those I’ll be guiding as they may learn from me.

What an incredible privilege that is.

I’m grateful to Mark, Davene, the guide community, and everyone who has poured into me this past year. Your example has given me the courage to step into this new role.
