Master Key Experience: Connection
I was listening to a podcast about the Camino de Santiago recently. It’s one of my favourite pastimes. Dan Mullins, the host, opened with a discussion of Connection.
Connection on the Camino de Santiago
He was asked, he said, what brings him back to Spain to walk this ancient pilgrimage route multiple times. His answer: “Connection.”
“Connection with the path beneath your feet. The connection with the Spanish culture, the people, food, wine, music, history. The connection with pilgrims who have walked before you, millions of people, searching and seeking and hoping, living and learning.
“And the connection with yourself as well, that very deep inner journey that pilgrimage, you hope, will provide some insight into how and why we are here. Living, learning, and surviving.
“But there’s another aspect of the Camino that I find absolutely inspiring. It’s the friends you meet. And I have connections with pilgrims all around the world.” Dan Mullins

Dan has cultivated those connections, not just through walking the Camino, but through his popular podcast and his musical career.
During the Covid pandemic, I listened to Dan’s podcast to stay connected with the Camino – and later I was honoured to be interviewed by Dan!
You can find a link to my interview with Dan HERE.
I agreed completely with Dan’s perspective about the Connections found on the Camino de Santiago. Then I started to think about how that applies to the Master Key Experience.
Connection in the Master Key Experience
I have been seeing parallels and links between the Camino and the Master Key Experience (MKE) for a long time now. Here’s what I feel about Connections in the context of the MKE.
- Connection with the path. The path of self-discovery and learning what you really want.
- Connection with your inner journey, the path to harnessing the immense power of your thoughts, your subconscious mind.
- Connection with many spiritual teachers – Mark and Davene Januszewski have facilitated a rich blend of material from Charles Haanel, Og Mandino, Emmet Fox, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and more!
- Connection with a higher power. You can call this higher power what you want; you see the Master Key System through the lens of religion, science, philosophy, or spirit. Just know that there is a connection. And you are more powerful than you have imagined.
- Connections with other MKE students. Like Dan with pilgrim friends; I have MKE friends around the world! A community of like-minded thinkers who support one another, just like pilgrims do.
In life there are many Connections. Honour these by expressing gratitude, appreciating those who have taught or inspired us. Then pay it forward by sharing the opportunity with others.
Just like I’m sharing with you, share this link with your friends who could benefit from the Master Key Experience.

My mind is exploding with ideas of how I would like to explore “connection” further! Everyone is seeking connection these days while at the same time technology provides imposters for connecting human-to-human in live experiences. The Master Key Experience bucks that trend and it makes all the difference.
Thank you so much for this comment, Janet – you are so right, true connection is not found on social media or with AI – we all need the human touch:)
Yes connection to MKE is a wonderful experience and adventure.
I absolutely love this, Arlene! I’m all about connecting. through MKE, through community, through family, and to God. thank you for your blog post
You’re welcome, Traci. And thank you for the kind comment:)
I am very grateful for my connection with YOU, Arlene. You never cease to amaze me and you always inspire me to my higher self. So glad we both found Master Key Experience and each other!
