Power in Your Thoughts: Training the Unconscious Mind

minutes remaining

The conscious and the unconscious mind are the two forms of activity to create power in your thoughts.

“Thought is energy. Active thought is active energy; concentrated thought is concentrated energy. Thought concentrated on a definite major purpose becomes power.”

Charles F. Haanel

The unconscious mind processes the most important mental activities. The processes that it controls occur with certainty, regularity and without error. There is great value in the unconscious as it inspires us, warns us and it can freely offer up facts, names scenery etc from a huge storehouse of memories. It directs our thoughts, tastes and accomplishes very intricate tasks that the conscious mind cannot.

Our bodily functions from muscles, nerves, brain functions, heartbeat and blood circulation are all controlled by the subconscious. All-important life functions are controlled by the unconscious mind. It is also the source of understanding and wisdom and wisdom far beyond the normal. Any skill relies on the unconscious to perform with ease and perfection. From sports, crafts, skilled trades, playing instruments ALL depend on the unconscious mind for perfect execution. The greater more brilliant thoughts the more it is obvious it is the origin of the unconscious mind.

Capacity of the Unconscious Mind

The unconscious mind gets logical and accurate information that is furnished from outside sources. Where the facts are true, the unconscious mind reaches a faultless conclusion but where there is error in the outside source its entire structure fails. The result is illness, disharmony and distress.

The unconscious mind accepts ALL it receives as true and proceeds to act on it. Its process is rapid; it does not wait for the slow methods of the conscious reasoning mind.

The unconscious mind relies on a “watchman at the gate” to protect it from misfortune. This watchman is the conscious mind.

When the unconscious mind is caught off guard or when it is calm, judgment is suspended. That is when the unconscious mind is open to suggestion from all sources. Good and bad.

Helping the Unconscious Mind Serve With Power

When this happens undesirable thought patterns of fear, hatred, greed, selfishness and self-depreciation creeps in. These effects can cause distress for the mind and body for a long time. Therefore, it is important to guard the unconscious from false information.

The only way to correct the unconscious mind from unwelcome negative thoughts is to focus on a new suggestion and frequently repeat it which then the mind must accept this as true. This leads to new healthy habits of thought and life because the unconscious mind is the seat of habit, when we repeatedly do this it becomes mechanical. It is no longer a judgement but a pattern that wears deep in the unconscious. If this habit is favourable, it is good for us.

The unconscious mind never sleeps. If you plainly state specific things to be accomplished, forces are set into motion that will lead to the desired result. Those who put this into action and have learned to trust the unconscious find that they have infinite resources at their fingertips because the unconscious mind is part of the Universal Mind.

When we are in harmony, we set into operation the greatest force in existence, the creative power of the Universal Mind. Mind is creative and automatically responds to bring our thoughts into manifestation.

Learn the power of your thoughts, how to use them and you can have the life that you have dreamed.

I will see you at the top, the very top, the tiptop!
