Standing Tall and Strong – My Special Journey

minutes remaining

The journey to remain standing tall and strong is based on a simple thought, “Don’t let anyone or anything break you.”

There may be some who would like to see you fail. That’s okay. Just keep Standing Tall, stay strong, and keep the faith.

Thinking back to how I got here, where I am today. Sometime at the beginning of 2018, I was thinking about my life and where I was going. I had no direction, I was just existing, not standing tall.

I was getting close to retirement and hadn’t saved much. I asked myself, “What it is that I really want for my retirement?” Saying that, I realized I can’t go on living like this.

I had started looking for ways to supplement my future retirement. I found self-help videos on You Tube and started listening to them. I bought and read the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.

“Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”

Napoleon Hill

In May of 2018, our youngest had graduated college and we purchased and picked up an RV on the same day. We took our first trip in the RV to Orlando, FL. Purchasing a Time Share while we were there, I was asked where we would like to go on vacation.

I told them the place we would like to go is Hawaii. After that we started looking at all the islands in Hawaii and narrowed it down to Kauai. In August of 2019, we took our first trip to Kauai and decided we really would like to move there for retirement. I felt like I was standing tall.

While there I had the most spiritual euphoric experience in my life — watching the sunrise on the first morning we were there. We spent a lot of our time driving around looking for properties for sale while we were there. Discussing moving to Kauai with my wife, we decided we were going to do it in the next year.

Upon returning home, I felt that I needed to do something so we can afford to move to Kauai. I took a course in personal development for 1 year and started learning about myself. I learned about Forgiveness, Gratitude, Habits, and the Law of Attraction. I was standing tall.

In October of 2019, my wife and I took a course in Multi-Family Investing. Taking both courses, I felt that the Law of Attraction was working in our favor. We set a date of June 1, 2020, for my goal of moving to Kauai.

Don’t Let Anyone or Anything Break You

At the end of October 2019, my father’s health had declined, and he ended up in the hospital. In January of 2020, he had passed. We held a memorial for him in March 2020, the day Covid shut everything down.

All flights to Hawaii were stopped. Still persisting with my goals (DMP), I reset the date to January 1, 2021.

My job had kept all the employees employed, even though the businesses we serviced were all closed. This gave me more time on personal development and time for studying markets for multi-family investing. More opportunity for me to be standing tall.

In September 2020, feeling another setback my mother had passed. While spending a couple of weeks with her before her passing, the idea came to me about RV Parks to combine with multi-family.

In October and November 2020, we went to another multi-family seminar, this one dealing a lot with mindset. In November 2020, we started our own company for multi-family while I was still employed with my job. Everything seemed to be going in the right direction for my goals (DMP).

Then I woke early one morning with the six basic fears and the seventh basic evil as mentioned in Chapter 15 of Think and Grow Rich. Being afraid of talking and meeting with people, I started feeling that my goal was maybe just a dream.

Keep on Standing Tall, Stay Strong, and Keep the Faith

I started reading the Bible and praying daily, which I hadn’t been doing in the past, believing I would be getting the answers that I needed.

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For everyone that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.”

Matthew 7:7-8

What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Mark 11:24

By May 2021, I had received another opportunity with a network marketing company that I signed up with. My upline was a coach and person from the multi-family space. We had a weekly book club reading Self Discipline by Brian Tracy. I was contacting people to join but wasn’t approaching it the proper way.

I was about to give up on this network marketing company when these people from Kauai joined. The Laziest Network Marketer, Mark Januszewski and the Fabulous Davene. Talk about the Law of Attraction! My hopes came alive again. Mark J was giving away a book he had written, Standing Tall, to a certain amount of people that responded by text.

He also introduced to the group the Color Personality Test. I took the test and found that my core motive is peace. This sparked some interest in me, so I purchased the full report and found my secondary color is blue (driven by intimacy) then yellow (driven by fun).

I received Standing Tall from Mark and Davene and started reading it, then I started the verities on January 1, 2022. I continued reading the book every morning and evening for the next 36 weeks. The company that I had my job with went out of business at the end of January 2022. I started doing my own work through the company I had started in November 2020.

I was then introduced to another opportunity about RV service and Inspections. It took three weeks of class to become a Certified RV Inspector and a Registered RV Tech in April and May 2022.

Then I was introduced to the Master Key Master Mind Alliance. I took the whole six months and was offered an opportunity to become a guide. I was very afraid that they would not let me in. So, I faced my fears and jumped in, and here I am!

So keep on Standing Tall, stay strong and keep the faith. My next step is to go to the MKE Live Event in Kauai.
