The power of our subconscious mind really is completely limitless…or it should be. The only real limitations that we have, we put on ourselves. We have this access to an unlimited storehouse of knowledge, potential, and future…

COMPLETELY free of strings or conditions.

Yet for some reason, we come up with about a hundred different complications, limitations, problems, flaws, woah is me…I could keep going on. Still we come up with so many reasons as to why it can’t work, the other worldly phenomenon that we cannot understand, or that ‘forbidden ground’ territory that we should not know about.

“It is therefore apparent that there is mind in every atom of the body, this mind is negative mind, and the power of the individual to think makes him positive, so that he can control this negative mind. This is the scientific explanation for metaphysical healing, and will enable anyone to understand the principle upon which this remarkable phenomenon rests. This negative mind, which is contained in every cell of the body, has been called the subconscious mind, because it acts without our conscious knowledge. We have found that this subconscious mind is responsive to the will of the conscious mind.”

Charles Haanel, The Master Key System 14:14-15

Haanel tells us right here that there is a ‘scientific explanation” for metaphysical healing!?! say wha? But isn’t that the unknown, and just a bunch of nonsense?

No, this is the principle in which anyone can understand where this phenomenon rests. Okay so our counscious mind controls this subconscious mind, and this subconscious mind has no conscious thought process.

We have touched on this in previous weeks. The Conscious mind makes all of the decisions, it is our reasoning factor. The Subconscious mind just takes orders. It has ZERO reasoning ability and does only as it is told.

This is why the “watchman at the gate”, or the conscious mind, needs to be ever vigilant as to the thoughts that are passed on to the subconcious mind.

Haanel continues saying:

“All things have their origin in mind, and appearances are the result of thought. So that we see that things in themselves have no origin, permanency, or reality. Since they are produced by thought, they can be erased by thought.”

So if we can create anything out of our future…it can just as easily be changed into a different future. Just because we were once in balance and in harmony; and have created our dream life and everything we want… this does not mean that a time of inbalance, selfishness, or negative thought doesn’t do the same, as to change the future that we are bringing to ourselves.

We are constantly creating our future from our thoughts of today, so if everything is literally just a thought in our mind, then it only makes sense that those thoughts can just as easily change and everything disappear.

This is something very rarely thought about.

For once we have success we have made it right?

It’s all easy street from there on. NO ONE thinks about the fact that this to shall/could pass.

“A recognition and understanding of the resources of the subconscious mind will indicate that the only difference between the subconscious and the Universal is one of degree. They differ only as a drop of water differs from the ocean. They are the same in kind and quality, the difference is one of degree only. Do you, can you, appreciate the value of this all-important fact; do you realize that a recognition of this tremendous fact places you in touch with Omnipotence? The subconscious mind being the connecting link between the Universal Mind and the conscious mind, is it not evident that the conscious mind can consciously suggest thoughts which the subconscious mind will put into action, and as the subconscious is one with the Universal, is it not evident that no limit can be placed upon its activities?”

We have spent a lot of time talking about how we are one with the Universal; and as we are one, clearly we are the same and differ only in degree. We may only be a drop of water, but it is the same water that makes up the entire ocean, therefore saying that I am the same as the Universal, and that I am just a crumb of the giant pie, but I am made of the very same material and ingredients.

So we are them, and we have already admitted that thoughts become things, so if my thoughts are things, and I am a piece of the ever present Universal; then Haanel has to be right.

The Limitless Subconscious Mind

THERE TRULY ARE NO LIMITS unless we create them. We have unlimited power of thought, therefore giving us unlimited power of the Subconscious mind. But what kind of thoughts SHOULD we hold? Well Haanel clarifies that for us as well.

“But the thought must be clear cut, steady, fixed, definite, unchangeable; you cannot take one step forward and two steps backward, neither can you spend twenty or thirty years of your life building up negative conditions as the result of negative thoughts, and then expect to see them all melt away as the results of fifteen or twenty minutes of right thinking. If you enter into the discipline necessary to bring about a radical change in your life, you must do so deliberately, after giving the matter careful thought and full consideration, and then you must allow nothing to interfere with your decision.”

I do love how Haanel tells us that you need a CLEAR picture and that we need our eye on the prize.

We can’t just do our sit, and then walk away and be a terrible, mean, cruel, selfish individual who is focusing on all the negative, therefore creating even more negativity in our life, in fact PLEADING with the Universal to send us nothing but these dreadful things that we spend all of our time thinking about.

It must be DELIBERATE, and continual focus.

“If you wish harmonious conditions in your life, you must develop a harmonious mental attitude. Your world without will be a reflection of your world within.”

Charles Haanel, The Master Key System 14:29-30

There is no faking it till you make it. This is where the rubber hits the pavement. What you focus on grows, so all that negativity continues to do the exact same and breed more negativity and hardships.

We must be in Harmony. First with ourselves, in our own mind, and then the world around us.

Learn to keep the door shut, keep out of your mind and out of your world, every element that seeks admittance with no definite helpful end is view.
