“This power to think is common to all. Man is, because he thinks. Man’s power to think is infinite, consequently his creative power is unlimited. We know that thought is building for us the thing we think of and actually bringing it nearer, yet we find it difficult to banish fear, anxiety, or discouragement, all of which are powerful thought forces, and which continually send the things we desire further away, so that it is often one step forward and two steps backwards.” Haanel 12: 2-3
Thought has Power
All I have talked about recently is thought and belief, and that we create everything from the power of the thought, but as much as we talk about the positive power of thought, where there is good there is always bad. Where something can be used to help and heal, someone else will use to harm and hurt.
Well our mental material is no different. How hard is it to have a happy disposition or see a positive silver lining when we are drenched in the grasps of fear, anxiety, or discouragement? This is everything I was talking about in Week 10… the power of FEAR and Anxiety, the dark side of the power of thought… this time the crippling power of it though.
You could be weaving the strongest and most elegant design, but let those words of fear and doubt slip in and its just like in Weezer’s song; “If you want to destroy my sweater, pull this string as I walk away… All we need need to do to destroy our perfect dream is to entertain those powerhouses fear, doubt, and anxiety. But on the flip of the coin, all we need to do to CREATE our perfect dream is to hold on to the BELIEVE and FAITH of knowing your dream is already achieved.
But your ideal must be sharp, clear-cut, definite; to have one ideal today, another tomorrow, and a third next week, means to scatter your forces and accomplish nothing; your results will be a meaningless and chaotic combination of wasted material…
Hannel 12:6
Achieving clarity of thought
Over and over Mark and the guides are constantly reminding us that subby LOVES and THRIVES off clarity. How can subby bring our dreams to fruition if we keep changing what we want?
It would be like asking a two year old what they want to eat for dinner. At 10 am they want chicken fingers for dinner, but 11 they want grilled cheese, by lunch time they tell you that they actually want macaroni and cheese for dinner, while eating their afternoon snack, now it is pizza, and ever at 4.30… now they just want ice cream and cereal.
Well now, how is mom ever to have any idea what the kiddo REALLY wants to eat for dinner with no decisive choices made? It would be the exact same with our mind and future. We need to have a clear mental picture of what we want, and HOW we want it. Give subby all the particulars and he just might surprise you.
Of course, worry, fear, and all negative thoughts produce a crop after their kind; those who harbour thoughts of this kind must inevitably reap what they have sown.
Haanel 12:11
As I said before watch those thoughts. They can be harmful or helpful, all dependent on the material or the thoughts fed to them.
Irresistible Natural Laws
“It is the combination of Thought and Love which forms the irresistible force, called the Law of attraction. All natural laws are irresistible, the law of Gravitation, or Electricity, or any other law operates with mathematical exactitude. There is no variation; it is only the channel of distribution which may be imperfect.
If a bridge falls, we do not attribute the collapse to any variation of the law of gravitation. If a light fails us, we do not conclude that the laws governing electricity cannot be depended upon, and if the law of attraction seems to be imperfectly demonstrated by an inexperience or uninformed person, we are not to conclude that the greatest and most infallible law upon which the entire system if creation depends has been suspended.
We should rather conclude that a little more understanding of the law is required, for the same reason that a correct solution of a difficult problem in Mathematics is not always readily and easily obtained.” Haanel 12:21
Of course it is thought and love… it needs to be CHARGED with FEELING and EMOTION!! Our emotion drives our heart and soul, and further more, subby. But how true is the above statement? If your light bulb burns out, you don’t say that electricity is unreliable and therefore the laws not valid.
You would state that the light bulb has faltered or even so much as the wires or outlet might be faulty, but never do we questions the law of Electricity in this situation.
Then if we never questions these other natural laws, why do not put the same amount of unfaltering faith into the law of attraction and our most powerful mind? Hard to really swallow that one… The best known method to man in creating unlimited options, and we just don’t trust it to work for us…
Well; with that kind of faith, I don’t suggest jumping out of a plane… because inevitably…you will always go down, you will not fly. Let us put that same Belief into our dreams that we have into the laws of nature, and never questions your potential!
Always shoot for the stars.
I enjoyed reading your blog. I liked how referred to Hannel to substantiate how fear affects our behavior and thinking. Also I liked how you gave examples of what it would look like when have a blurry, hazy ,vision of what they want out of their lives. Great Blog
Yes, I agree, faith in the Natural Laws must be absolute! Then, once we begin mastering the MKE practices such as the Mental Diet and we eliminate discordant thoughts, emotions and feelings like those you mentioned (eg. fear, worries, discouragement, anxiety,…), we can start reaping the benefits of our God given gift of Creator! Thanks for reminding us that we all have this power in us!
Great blog Candy! I specially liked the comparison that we do not mistrust the power of electricity if the bulb doesn’t function. It is so easy to mistrust the power of thought when we don’t get what we think of and want. But it comes really to ourselves and a firm faith that our thoughts charged with feeling and emotion get things in place. Thank you for pointing that out so excellent!
One thought that immediately came to mind while reading this excellent post, Candy, is, “It’s ALL Good.” With absolute belief in how and why this simple statement is true, adds a layer of protection ensuring our PMA is constant vs intermittent at best. 🙂
Excellent, Candy – I love the reference to the Weezer song, I never thought of it that way before, but it is so true.
Absolutely, we reap what we sow. Therefore, it is critical that what we plant in our subconscious mind is positive because it cannot differentiate that itself. Having faith that what we desire comes to fruition gives Subby the ability to make it happen. If you don’t have faith, there is no way it can.
Thanks for this reminder, Candy, that when the light goes out “never do we question the law of Electricity in this situation.” How cool that this program helps us learn to use the natural laws well, especially the laws about training our subconscious mind. 💙
