As I roll into the end of the year, I am taking time to think. I have repeated the first eleven weeks of studying and practicing the lessons the Master Key Experience teaches.
Gift of Time to Think
The MKE program has helped me reinforce my thoughts and words positively. It is helping me become stronger, more loving, kinder, forgiving, more respectful of other points of view, beliefs and accepting of people’s decisions and choices without judgement.
It’s helping me create better relationships with all people in my life.
I have found more time to think and be in silence listening to the Universe and what it is telling me.
Permission to Grow
I am also learning that it is okay to choose to do what I want to do, not what other people expect of me, or what I perceive them to expect of me.
I am learning to say ‘No, I can’t do that for you”, or, just plain say “No” to things I don’t want to do or have in my life any longer.
Amazing how deeply rooted are the beliefs we have, regardless of what we think them to be and how they do affect our daily lives, habits, choices. They also feed our fears, hopes and dreams!
Found Time to Do
The outer world reflects the inner world and boy, the “mental” house cleaning that most of us need, can be at times overwhelming! Easy to say I’ll do that later, but thanks to MKE DRILLING THE ‘DO IT NOW’ into our minds, it is getting easier to clean inside and out!
Things that have been sitting around for years are finally getting moved out!
At a deeper level I now read my Bible, along with daily inspirational quotes, books and affirmations.
I also read the MKE course materials and required readings such as Og Mandino’s The Greatest Salesman in the World, Ralph Waldo Emerson’s “Essay on Compensation” and Charles Haanel’s The Master Key System.
I had read these in the past, but to me they were stories. Now they have taken on a new life and meaning for me.
Time to Sit
I am beginning to get bent out of shape if I am reading or studying or doing my Sit and get interrupted. I have to work on that and not let it frazzle my nerves!
I’ve been having lots of conversations with my “friend” during my Sits as to what I want and how I want to spend the rest of the “Seasons” I may be blessed to have left to enjoy.
We discuss God, Peace, Co-creating, Imagination, dreams, desires, wants vs needs, and what do we want to do this week, next week, next month? We talk about a lot of stuff!
Learning to be you with yourself, your best friend, can be challenging. That’s why the “Gal/Guy in the Mirror” poem is deep! Now, when I talk to myself and answer myself, I don’t care what other people think!
Time for New Adventures
Been thinking about taking a painting class and now I see that every day. I have a clean new canvas! I am so grateful for the opportunity to create a new painting or story on a clean canvass. If I don’t like what I painted yesterday, I will start all over today!
Every day is a new day, new beginning.
We are reading Scroll III from The Greatest Salesman in the World for the month of December, and we have read one Scroll each month.
We started with Scroll I in October. November was Scroll II. My favorite little sentences from these Scrolls that I can remind myself of are as follows:
Scroll I: “Today I begin a new life” and “My bad habits must be destroyed and new furrows prepared for good seed!”
Scroll II: “I will greet this day with love in my heart.”; “And, most of all I will love myself” and “Henceforth, will I love all mankind.”
Scroll III: “I will persist until I succeed.”
— Og Mandino, The Greatest Salesman in the World
Scroll III has been a tough one to chew, because when I’m tired, I just want to crash! However, as I keep repeating these statements, I am slowly doing more and finding more energy mentally and physically to persist!
Now these little statements from each of the Scrolls all sound lovely but try doing this 100% of the time!
Tough Work
Ha, easy to say, east not to do… especially when we’ve been programmed with so much negative self-talk, negative thinking, pre-judgements, unfounded truths, etc.
After each of these short, sweet statements are instructions. I finally understand why we are assigned to read each Scroll for thirty days, 3 times/day! I will probably be re-reading them for years to come!
My grandmother used to tell me that many people go to school, college, and become professional students, but they just take up space because knowledge is like food, and they didn’t know how to eat.
Food must be chewed slowly, savored, and if you come across something you can’t swallow, removed discreetly. Swallow the good stuff and digest it.
Otherwise, you receive none of the nutrients it has to offer if you eat unconsciously and swallow whatever you put in your mouth!
I am a work in progress but am finding Peace within myself and more Joy to Life! Thanks to the Master Key Experience. Why don’t you get on the early bird list for the next class and find your own treasures here?
Wonderful insights Aurora! Recognizing that knowledge doesn’t apply itself is truly life changing! And understanding that you have the power to create an amazing life and nothing is just the way it has to be because everyone accepts it to be so!! Keep growing!
That’s a great recap of what the MKE practices are all about! I love the metaphor of your grandmother about knowledge being like food, our ancients have such great wisdom! Thanks for this great sharing Aurora!
