“What do you want” seems like an easy question. But do you ever feel like you are wandering through life without a compass, wondering what you truly want? I thought I knew.
Then, I discovered the transformative journey called the Master Key Experience (MKE). Based on the profound principles of the Master Key System, this extraordinary program helped unlock my true aspirations and set me on a meaningful path I did not anticipate.
Define What You Want
One of the first steps in the Master Key Experience is to write your Definite Major Purpose (DMP). This is a statement of what you want. There is more to your DMP than just stating what you want, but that is the start.
I first put down a huge house. I wanted a huge house to have large parties and lots of room. It would make a positive impression. Then I wanted lots of money. So, I could afford this huge house and a Porsche. I had wanted a Porsche since I first saw one at a dealership in high school. That seemed easy enough, but I learned it wasn’t.
Then, as I continued with the course with structured exercises and guided meditations, I peeled back the layers of societal expectations and superficial desires that had clouded my vision.
Imagine looking at your life through a newly cleaned window. This did not happen right away. It takes a little time. The MKE class involves much, much more than just knowing what you want.
“There is a world within – a world of thought and feeling and power; of light and life and beauty and, although invisible, its forces are mighty.”
Charles F. Haanel
MKE emphasized the power of focused intention and visualization. It is not just about wanting something; it is about seeing it, feeling it, and living it in your mind first.
Harnessing the techniques of vivid mental imagery and emotional engagement, this step gave me the practical tools to convert my abstract desires into tangible goals. Think of it as having a GPS for your aspirations—every time you stray, it gently nudges you back on course.
Through the exercises and activities, MKE taught me that positive thoughts attract
positive outcomes and that unwavering faith in what you believe can bring about what you thought impossible.
By positively surrounding myself and aligning my actions with my newfound clarity, I began to see opportunities where I only saw obstacles before. It’s like flipping a switch that brightens every part of your journey.
“Mind is creative, and conditions, environment and all experiences in life are the result of our habitual or predominant attitude.”
Charles F. Haanel, The Master Key System
Did I get the big house and the Porsche? No. I learned that the big house and the Porsche would not make me happy. It took me a fair amount of time to come to this realization.
I had trouble visualizing myself in that house I wanted and being happy. I would have been a status symbol, and I do not need a status symbol. I don’t need or want a Porsche, even though I thought I did for a long time.
I Was Happy Figuring Out What I Wanted
It also would have been a status symbol, and I don’t need that to be happy. So, what I want is much different than what I thought I did. It is something I can imagine myself being happy with.
It could change again; however, I do not think it would be a radical shift. It took work on my part, but my experience with MKE initiated that work. I am grateful for the lessons I’ve learned.
“It is those who concentrate on but one thing at a time who advance in this world.”
Og Mandino, The Greatest Salesman in the World
The Master Key Experience has been nothing short of revolutionary for me. From deep introspection to powerful visualization techniques and embracing the Law of Attraction, each step has brought me closer to understanding and achieving what I genuinely desire.
I highly recommend trying the MKE if you’re ever feeling lost or uncertain about your direction. Who knows where your dreams might take you once you have the right key to unlock them?
This is so incredibly powerful, John! Thank you for your story of how you (and others can) unlock what you REALLY want instead of what you had thought you wanted in life for a long time. I especially love this: “Imagine looking at your life through a newly cleaned window. This did not happen right away. It takes a little time. The MKE class involves much, much more than just knowing what you want.”
Love your post! Very inspiring and also made me chuckle as to your comments about what you thought you wanted and would make you happy! So many of us think, things make us happy! Then along come Joe!
