What happens when we go into overwhelm?
Our mind and brain may shut down from the stress we feel.
Our sensibility may fly out the window.
A haze comes over our eyesight ….
Rapid breathing, sweating. RUN! Run as fast as you can away from it?
So many different ways for each one of us to feel a symptom of overwhelm.
For me, I can’t seem to read exactly what’s on the page in front of me. My eyes skip all over the paragraph, maybe looking for something familiar or known. Maybe to bring comfort to a stressed mind.
Could it be ‘Fear of failure’?
Where does this overwhelm come from?
I have to put my finger on the line I’m reading and steady my eyes and my breathing to not skip around.
We all have our techniques. You’ve got this.
This whole ‘overwhelm’ thing can be undone, with practice and persistence and a desire to come out of the other side of its side effects.
Recognise how you are feeling.
Be grounded. Take your shoes and socks off, feel the grass, mud, sand, a puddle. Immerse in nature or look to the sky and feel the space.
Take deep slow deliberate breaths.
Does this help? What can you do to help minimise and eradicate your feelings?
When we first start MKE, we may feel this way.
Too much to do, can’t keep up, it’s not what I was expecting!!
Our minds defend the way we feel, make excuses.
Remember the word ‘cement’ we use in MKE to describe old patterns, old habits, inability to grasp new meaning or change.
It’s not your fault!! Repeat “It’s not my fault”. You’ve got this.
Now, let’s take responsibility for ourselves. Right now. No, maybe it’s not my fault, but how do I take responsibility for myself now. What does that mean?
Taking responsibility on some level means the willingness to see ourselves in this instance and our desire to change.
We are here right now, in this present moment, this is the only moment that exists. What are we going to do?
Make excuses for ourselves and stick with the old habits and limitations?
Or are we going to find the humour in it all and grip that light that is showing us the way and allow it to illuminate our path?
The choice is yours.
There is no coincidence you are here now reading this. It is meant to be.
You have discovered something your soul may have been yearning for. A new way, a profound ‘Get out of Jail card’. The jail was your mind and experiences.
The ‘new’ way shows promise. Scarey? Yes, maybe. Liberating? Yes, maybe.
Only you know when you take the step, before even the step is given. You’ve got this.
That is trusting yourself, the process, the way. Even if you have never trusted before.
Now is your liberation day, your emancipation from mental slavery (Thanks Bob M).
You take the step! Yes!! Celebrate! Commend yourself. You did this! You took the step.
Take the steps, step by step. Maybe faltering at first, but you’ve got this. Right?
Your mind and brain have a desire for change. They forgot to send you the memo, but they really do.
A few new concepts and exercise to embrace.
BAM! Subby hooked.
A hunger arouses the digestion of the MKE information. The exercises, albeit challenging to start with, are easy with practice. The mind wants more linking and coloured symbols to help it, empower it, bring it clarity and fun.
The Blueprint Builder builds confidence, the readings of Haanel speak deeply to the soul that knows. The 7 Laws of the Mind and the Law of Giving and Receiving make absolute sense. They are food for the soul.
The DMP and PPN’s give us permission to finally recognise who we truly are and our purpose.
The ‘Sit’ … ahhhhh, the sit. A wondrous practice to behold. It makes sense of everything. It is our quiet reflective time where the brain unravels itself and accepts the new informed details and absorbs them.
Our own special time to create space for the amazing reconfiguration of our brain-mind.
But wait, there’s more… never look back with regret.
Seize the moment, the day, as it is the only moment you have.

Peaches, thank you for very encouraging blog. It is very possible for anyone to go through this journey of becoming free of limiting beliefs, right? Being in the moment, taking time to reflect deeply, and applying 7 Laws of Mind, this all takes time but it’s so worth our time and investment for ourselves. Yes, we’ve got this!
